    Course Description and Objectives

    This course introduces learners to the foundational concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI), its evolving capabilities, and its transformative role across diverse disciplines. It provides a balanced understanding of AI fundamentals, agentic AI systems, and emerging technologies while emphasising ethical, responsible, and informed use. The course integrates conceptual understanding with experiential learning through online modules, peer-assisted laboratory activities, and discipline-specific workshops, enabling learners to critically engage with AI-enabled tools and workflows. The course is designed to:

    • Develop an understanding of the foundational concepts, principles and contemporary advancements in Artificial Intelligence
    • Facilitate the acquisition of practical competencies required to critically evaluate and effectively apply AI technologies, tools, and intelligent workflows.
    • Cultivate an informed and ethically grounded perspective on the development, deployment, and governance of Artificial Intelligence.

    Course Outcomes

    • CO1: Demonstrate understanding of the theoretical foundations, core concepts, emerging paradigms, and ethical principles in Artificial Intelligence.
    • CO2: Apply Agentic AI concepts, intelligent workflows, and AI-enabled tools for effective human–AI collaboration.
    • CO3: Apply discipline-specific AI tools to address academic and professional requirements within their respective fields.

      Environmental Studies

        Environmental study is an interdisciplinary subject examining the interplay between the social, legal, management, and scientific aspects of environmental issues. Students of environmental studies will learn about human interaction with the environment and about the natural resources and their conservation and management. The course enables the students to learn the causes, effects, and possible solutions to address sectoral effects on the local, regional, and global environmental issues.

        Environmental studies also deal with the environment management, treaties and legislation.
